Meet Our Team

Scott Thompson

Renaissance Man
Scott is our man of a million stories. The experience and humor he brings to HyMark Motorsports is like no other. Scott is originally from Iowa, but he has lived in Colorado since 1981. In the 1960s and 1970s, Scott served in the US Army and the National Guard. After being honorably discharged, Scott sold cattle, worked at a gas station, you name it and Scott has done it. In fact, Scott worked at United Artists’ studios in California, following in his father’s footsteps (his dad was in 46 Hollywood movies.) After 27 years, Scott retired from a successful career with Gordon Sign Company. Customer service has always been a top priority to Scott and he thinks this is one of the attributes that made his career so successful.

After retirement, Scott decided sales was in his blood, and he just couldn't stay away. So HyMark Motorsports is where he now calls home. He enjoys fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and the NHRA. Scott has been married for 45 wonderful years. He has 1 son and 1 grandson. Scott's son is in the professional bicycle racing field and often tours throughout the world. If you want to meet a character of a guy, (or a guy with a lot of character!) come by and say hello to Scott Thompson. Just ask for the chronologically gifted guy!

Interesting tidbit: Scott was pulled over once on the interstate for driving his Corvette at 27 mph! He also claims to have driven an NHRA drag car in drag, but that’s another story!

Drew McDowall

Onsite Marine Biologist
If you want extensive knowledge of powersports products, then look no further than Andrew “Drew” McDowall. Drew was born and raised in Penrose, CO. His entire life has been spent surrounded by powersports of some type. He recently showed us a picture of himself as an infant sitting in the side car of his father’s motorcycle. Drew's earliest memories always included bikes and racing. His father and his brother Matt still race to this day.

Drew attended Florence High School where he played football. In 2011, Florence won the 2A state football championship. Drew attended Mesa University in Grand Junction where he majored in marine biology (right alongside George Costanza ;-)) Drew currently races motocross and loves KTM. When Drew isn't working or racing, he enjoys movies. His favorite movie is "Tombstone" and in the famous words of Doc Holliday "I'm Your Huckleberry". Come by and meet this crazy, knowledgeable and very easygoing and likable guy.

Funny Fact: Although Drew attended college for marine biology, he is actually highly allergic to shellfish.

Chuck Golinvaux

Fearless Leader & Visionary
Chuck hails originally from Dubuque, IA. One of 11 children, (7 sisters!) Chuck learned early on the value of a hard day’s work. His first job at 12 years old was as a newspaper carrier for both the Telegraph Herald and Des Moines Register. From there he progressed to busboy at local downtown eateries. During college at the University of Iowa he labored at a local factory that made arm rests (among other things) for Chevrolet pickups.

After a long and productive career in the automotive industry, Chuck decided in 2000 he needed a change to an industry that possessed a little more of a “fun factor.” That eventually led him from Bozeman MT to Spearfish SD, where he was a minority partner in a Honda-Yamaha-KYMCO and Arctic Cat snowmobile dealership. When the decision was made to sell that dealership, Chuck agreed to stay on to help with the transition. When he left that dealership, Chuck decided to look for a new adventure in a milder climate.

In 2013, Chuck purchased HyMark Motorsports with the intent to expand the facility and add Indian Motorcycle. Indian was added at the end of 2015, and a building expansion was completed at the end of 2016.

Interesting facts: He is a college and high school basketball referee, and unknown to most, he was a pretty good French horn player as a child. Chuck also spent a night in jail without being arrested or suspected of any criminal activity (you will have to ask him about that!)

Tisha Smith

Parts & Accessories Sales
Before joining the team in mid-2015, Tisha previously worked in banking and sales and loves meeting new people. She is now the part timer of our Rock Star Parts Department. If you're looking for an accessory or a part for your machine, she is the person to talk to.

Tisha was born and raised in Pueblo; we are constantly asking her opinion on fun things to do in the area. Tisha enjoys being outdoors and hiking when she isn't helping customers find parts and accessories at HyMark Motorsports. Tisha loves camping and riding ATV’s on the many trails that Colorado has to offer. Her favorite riding trails are near Salida. She has three amazing boys that take up much of her time and she wouldn’t have it any other way. When Tisha is not working at HyMark she stays very busy. Tisha is currently going to school full time and enjoys learning new things and she is a true believer that “Knowledge is Power.”

Interesting Fact about Tisha: She rode a motorcycle by herself for the first time in 2016. Now she has her motorcycle endorsement and loves tearing up the pavement.

Favorite ride: ATV's, Motorcycles

Grady Hendrix

Powersports Specialist
Grady has been at HyMark Motorsports since April 2014. He was previously a helicopter mechanic for Vector Aerospace in Alabama. He has quickly become our all-around go-to guy. He assembles new units, washes lot units, details trades and transports trade and sold units.

Grady was born on Chitosi Air Force base in Hokiado, Japan. On the rare occasion when we let Grady leave the shop he can be found racing Motocross, R/C Cars, or Slot Cars.

Favorite Ride: 2004 Honda XR80 Big Bore

Keith Nicholls

Parts & Accessories Manager
Keith grew up in Hawaii and lived there for 23 years before moving to Arizona to go to school (for motorcycles). During his time in Arizona, Keith was involved in the motorcycle and powersports business for more than 25 years. His experience runs the gamut from salvage yards, a big retail company, and small to large dealerships. Aside from motorcycles, ATVs and utility vehicles, Keith has knowledge with personal watercraft and snowmobiles, and he also counts Harley Davidson and now Ural in his expansive repertoire. He possesses a very well-rounded background when it comes to powersports. In 25 years, he has owned about 30 powersports vehicles; street, dirt, and ATVs, and he currently has 3 motorcycles in the garage.

Keith even road-raced motorcycles for 5 years and won a championship in the Heavyweight Twin class. After 20 years in Arizona it was time for a change. So, Colorado was calling with the mountains, pine trees and cooler weather. Keith has 2 daughters that still reside in Arizona, and he sees them every chance he gets. He loves the outdoors in every form so you might run into him camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and maybe an occasional climb to the top of a 14er.

Keith has a severe weakness for good gummi bears, and Keith holds the distinction of being the only person (as far as we know) for getting a ticket on a little Yamaha YSR 50 for speeding! ! !
